There used to be a time when I used to put on a load of products on my face before I left the house. Now that I’m older I’ve become lazy and I don’t use as much product like I used to unless I really have to. Less is more for me now and I like it better that way.
Still, there are some products that I can’t do without. Here are seven of them that I tend to use on a regular basis:
Ponds Facial Wash Smooth Pores – I think I’ve tried the whole range of Ponds Facial Wash products but this is the first one that I’ve tried without those micro-beads. I think the smooth pores promise works because just 2 weeks of use got me a compliment on my pores already (yes, I am talking about you Ariane!).
Colgate Optic White – I’m not so sure if it works or not, I think this is more psychological for me than anything. I use this because I’m such a coffee lover and it stains the teeth and I figured it would be best to use a whitening toothpaste just to balance the color out. I’m not looking to have sparkling white teeth so I’m happy to just NOT have badly stained looking ones that could potentially make me look like a hag.
Ponds Flawless White 2 Way Powder Foundation – This one falls in my less is more category. I only use this lightly on my T-zone if I’m looking oily or when I go on full-makeup mode (which is rare).
Olay Total Effects – I use this as a moisturizer and I’d like to think this is one of those things that helps keep my skin looking young. It helps make applying BB Cream or makeup easier having this as a base too.
Etude House BB Cream Precious Mineral Fit – I use this over my moisturizer and I love how it blends with my skin and helps give me an even look to the point that I hardly have to powder my face at all. If I’m going for an all-natural look, I stop at this. If I need to wear makeup, I use this as my base. The shade, however, doesn't work for everyone. I heard that for some of my friends it comes off a bit gray-ish. I'm just lucky that it works with my skin tone.
Maybelline Baby Lips Lip Balm – There was a time when I used to wear lipstick all the time but these days, I prefer using just lip balm. Maybelline’s Baby Lips have a slight tint and it’s just right for a natural look.
Well, that's it! Seven products that I use regularly. Not very high maintenance and I'd like to keep it that way.
What about you? What products do you use? Anything you'd like to recommend?
